The Negative Effects of Computers on the Human Body

Introduction

Computers are relatively new to the human body. And so we can be certain that we do not understand every side effect of having so many computers in own life. Are their serious side effects of putting computers in our bedrooms? How about having a cell phone next to our brain for hundreds or thousands of hours? Here we introduce some of the most common negative effects of computers and how you can keep yourself and your home safe.

Lets Get a Scope of the Problem

Consider for a second, how important the physical set up of your computing environment is. In a 2007, it was concluded that 65% of Americans spend ATLEAST 8 hours a day on the computer!. At this rate, 65% of Americans will spend 1/3 of their life interacting with computers. Now this may or may not be a good thing, but one thing is for sure. How humans physically interact with computers WILL effect their physical body over time. The body can only take so much stress and strain!

2- Eye Strain

Computer screens can be very harmful on the eyes. You've probably noticed this after spending a couple of straight hours reading on your computer that your eyes can be quite irritated. Of course this irritation is your eyes telling you that they are hurting. In addition, we don't just use computers one day or one time. No, we use them EVERYDAY. So do yourself a favor, and consider researching how you can reduce eye strain.

3- Lack of Exercise

Particularly among the people who use computers the most, a lack of exercise can be a cause for concern. Of course computers don't directly cause a lack of exercise, but studies have shown that kids who spend a very high amount of time on computers are less likely to exercise. Does this mean to use computers less? Possibly, but not definitely. It does however mean that kids (and adults) do need adequate exercise.
